3R’s Practices on the Learning Achievement of Grade-Schoolers: Basis for the Development of 3R’s Self-Learning Module

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of 3R’s Practices on the LearningAchievement of Grade-schoolers. Thedescriptivemethod of research wasusedinthisstudy. The grade-schoolersselected using purposive sampling with a total of seventy-four (74) from Grade IV, V, and VI at MasicoElementary School. The researcher used a self-madechecklistquestionnaire and request for the grades of eachgrade-schooler as reference to their learning achievement in English and Mathematics. Based on the findings, itwas found that the level of 3R’s Practices was High. It also found out that the level of Learning Achievement ofGrade-schoolers was Very Satisfactory. It was therefore concluded that 3R’s Practices has a significant effect onthe Learning Achievement of Grade-Schoolers. It is thus recommended that guardians and/or parents mustcontinue to guide, support, and teach their children for their growth and development. For teachers, it isrecommended to encourage and develop a self-learning module focusing on the 3R’s (Reading, Writing, andArithmetic) to continue and further enhance the skills and maintain the learning achievement of every learner.Lastly, it is recommended for the Department of Education to continue to provide quality education to everylearner with the best learning experiences and opportunities to explore, share, and showcase their best out oftheir full potential in any discipline.
