WAQF EMPOWERMENT BASED SCHOOL THROUGH ISLAMIC MICROFINANCE INSTITUTIONS (CASE STUDY ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL ABDUSSALAM)

ABSTRACT: Islamic Boarding School is an educational institution that has existed for a long time, and generallystands on land waqf, Islamic Boarding School also has many microfinance institutions such as Islamic BoardingSchool Abdussalam, now there are many waqf empowerment developed by Islamic microfinance institutions , but inthe Islamic microfinance institutions that exist in Islamic Boarding School Abdussalam has not been developed, sothe researcher aims to make proposed models of development of waqf empowerment in Islamic microfinanceinstitutions in Islamic Boarding School. This research uses qualitative method, with technique of phenomenologyanalysis, to determine the model of empowerment that is in accordance with the condition of Islamic BoardingSchool Abdussalam researchers collect data with observation, interview and focus group discussions. The results ofthis study indicate that the management of waqf at the Islamic Boarding School Abdussalam has not been orientedto the productive ones, and is still managed with a traditional system. The model proposed in this study is the firstSynergetic Waqf Model of Islamic Boarding School-Based, the second is the Temporary Waqf Model For IslamicBoarding School. This research is only limited to capital proposal so as not to apply the model, but research like thishas never been done because in this study described the model of development of temporary waqf is relatively newin Indonesia.
