ABSTRACT: The Tbilissi conference plus 35, held in 2012, marks the turning point in the dynamics ofenvironmental ethics awareness. It was in fact, the question of decisively inscribing eco-pedagogy in the chainof eco-ethical values. From this perspective, the originality of the Canadian philosopher Lucie Sauvé is then tosystematize this approach by adding the need for a detour through epistemology. In the subsequent lines, ourobjective is to articulate and assess the mode of involvement of epistemology in the eco-pedagogical argumentof this author. It will be a task of questioning the intellectualist influences, which weakens, in our opinion, themilitant chain of interculturality. We show that this intercultural pillar needs to be redefined and strengthened,in the light of a different meaning of the very notion of culture, which takes into account the cultural role ofculture, as well as its hermeneutic and strategic dimensions. It is under this condition that what we consider tobe a true epistemological and cultural bipedalism of eco-pedagogy, indispensable for a better transculturalextension, could be considered.
