Analysis of the Effect of Literacy Rate, Inflation and Open Unemployment Rate on Poverty Levels in Bali Province in 2002 – 2020

ABSTRACT : Economic growth is the main driver in reducing or increasing poverty. The economic growth of a region can be measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product. Inequality of economic growth between regions in Bali Province is one of the causes of increasing poverty rates in Bali Province. The poverty rate in this study was reviewed based on three categories, namely literacy rate, inflation, and open unemployment rate. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of literacy rates, inflation, and the open unemployment rate simultaneously and partially on the poverty rate in Bali Province. This research was conducted using secondary data. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis using panel data. The number of observations is 19 observations. Based on the results of the study, it shows that simultaneously the literacy rate, inflation, and the open unemployment rate have a significant effect on the poverty level in Bali Province. Partially the literacy rate and the open unemployment rate have a significant effect on the poverty level in Bali Province, but inflation has no significant effect on the poverty level in Bali Province.
