ABSTRACT: This study is about Pictographs of Tayabasin Words and its Denotation and Connotation Meaning.The study utilized descriptive-correlational method which determined whether the Pictographs of Tayabasinwords and Denotation and Connotation interpretation are significant and the significant difference in the levelof interpretation of the students before and after the test. Respondents were 60 Grade 11 students from LuisPalad Integrated School were selected through purposive sampling technique. Researcher used a self-made9item checklist questionnaire and 20item tests which were evaluated and validated by the experts. Data weregathered and analyzed. Mean and standard deviation were used to know the level of acceptability of therespondents in Pictographs of Tayabasin Words in terms of (a) objectives, (b) meaning and (c) appropriatenessof pictures. Frequency and percentage were used to get the level of interpretation of the students on denotationand connotation. Paired sample test was used to show the significant difference of the pre-test and posttest. AndPearson-r were used to know the significant relationship of Pictographs of Tayabasin words and its Denotationand Connotation meaning. Based on the over-all results, the Pictographs of Tayabasin Words has no significantrelationship on the Denotation and Connotation meaning.
