A STUDY ON SELECTION OF LOGISTICAL TEMPORARY SHELTER LOCATION IN DISASTER AREA IN SUMATERA ISLAND WITH PROMETHE

ABSTRACT: Sumatra Island is one of the islands in Indonesia which has a large potential for disaster-prone.The impact is an increase in the number of refugees, damage to households that are heavy, moderate and mild.Based on this, one of the needs in handling disasters is a temporary logistical shelter, as a form of humanitarianassistance. The objectives of this study are (1) to analyze the criteria for selecting logistical temporary shelterlocations and; (2) to select locations of strategic locations in disaster areas located on the island of Sumatera.Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis methods and the Preference Ranking Organization Method forEnrichment Evaluations (Promethee). This study covers into three major locations including nine cities: 1)Banda Aceh, Medan and Deli Serdang, 2) Padang, Jambi and Pekanbaru, and 3) Bandar Lampung City,Palembang and Bengkulu.The selected location for region 1 is Deli Serdang; region 2 is Pekanbaru City; andregion 3 is Palembang City
