ABSTRACT : Taboos occupy a very important place in Beninese families. African family education is essentially based on taboos. Prohibitions are found in all areas of family education. We must succeed in treating the superego of taboos in the teaching-learning process. How to achieve this? The objective of our article is to recognize African values. But when these values impose themselves as prohibitions which become the superego on the learner, blocking the teaching-learning process, we must remedy this by first and foremost providing psychological treatment to the learner. The mixed methodology that we used, which consists of a documentary study and an empirical study, field research, allowed us to understand that Beninese learners have a lot of abilities. We must help them by freeing them from the superego of taboos so that they can prove their skills in the teaching-learning process.
