EPISTEMOLOGY AND SCIENCE IN SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION SYSTEMS FOR FOOD SECURITY

ABSTRACT: Historically, the way of doing research and generating knowledge has had a changing dynamic in the way of conceiving a given reality; consequently, this article aims to make reflections and conceptual analysis of epistemology and science in the field of production systems of primary economy, framed in the agricultural vocation and sustainable development. The dissertation is made with an explanatory look from the hermeneutic perspective in a documentary content, purely theoretical, such as the way of understanding and interpreting, knowledge and research in agricultural production. As a conclusion, it can be stated that research in sustainable agricultural production systems must necessarily be in tune with the research reality of the moment, if it wants to generate a broad production of knowledge.
