GROUP COMMUNICATION STRATEGY OF BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN ELECTION COMMITTEE IN SOCIALIZING 2019 ELECTIONS

ABSTRACT : Understanding and involvement in the fulfillment of the rights and obligations as anIndonesiancitizen, hopefully, willbe one of the factors for a country’sgrowth to become a better nation.Eachperson has itscharacteristics in receiving information sothattransmitting information thatis important to itspeople becomes a specialtask for the government. This study explores how the Bandar Seri BegawanOverseasElectionCommitteeinteractswith a party in Socializing the 2019 Elections. The methodused as a semistructured interview withinternal and externalinformants in the collection techniques. A Qualitativeapproachisused to analyze the communication concept and strategy communication conceptbased on datacollection consists of data collection, data simplification, data presentation, and conclusions. Based on thestudyresults, four factors influence the processof group communication to runwell, inclding Imitation Factors(Imitating), Suggestion Factors, SympathyFactors, and Group Communication Media. Also,itis the use of groupcommunication to the Indonesiancitizen in Brunei Darussalam to deliver the information thatisquite efficientbased on the increase in 2019 election participants.
