ABSTRACT: The COVID-19 coronavirus that appeared in China and spread to several countries has become apublic health problem. This pandemic in manifestation is claiming many victims, whose statistics in this studyare not exhaustive. Restrictive measures in terms of social and especially hygienic interaction are thereforerecommended as part of therapeutic actions1. This study examines the factors explaining the dysfunctionobserved in the management of the coronavirus COVID-19 in Côte d’Ivoire2. The study was essentiallyqualitative, using appropriate survey tools, in this case documentary analysis and semi-structured interviewsadministered to a category of actors in Abidjan. This enabled us to arrive at the following results: thedysfunction in the management of COVID-19 in Côte d’Ivoire is linked to the non-respect of the normativeframework edited by the authorities of the Ministry of Health through the persistence of lifestyle habits that areproof of the restrictive measures announced in the face of the seriousness of the COVID-19 coronavirus. Thus, the actors are developing strategies outside the normative framework to redefine new types of lifestylerelationships.
