ABSTRACT :Teachers have an important role to play in enhancing students’ learning, which is important fortheir future success. Their ability to teach has a direct impact on the learning and development of their learners,and they can make learning more engaging by selecting instructional materials that are suitable for the class. Inthis paper, the researchers aim to determine what instructional materials are best for college students,specifically for Filipino-related subjects. The researchers gathered the data in order to determine the level andfactors involved in the use of instructional materials. As a sort of quantitative research, this study documents,calculates, and analyzes the level of use and other aspects by gathering data using a survey questionnaire. Inconnection with this, it was discovered that there is a significant difference in the use of traditional and moderninstructional materials in teaching Filipino subjects. Students often used modern instructional materials becauseof the factors that it makes the preparation easier in general. Based on the results, the researchers gave aconclusion and made recommendations to further develop the study.
