SIPAT-SURI SA MGA SIMBOLISMO PAMPANITIKAN AT ISYUNG PANLIPUNAN SA PELIKULANG TAKLUB NI BRILLANTE MENDOZA

ABSTRACT : This study attempted to examine deeply the literary symbolisms and social issues that isportrayed in the “Taklub” movie.The study used qualitative design which stategize on analysis to examinecomprehensively the research. The respondents of the study were 10 BSED- Filipino major students who arestudying at Leyte Normal University. They have watched the movie titled ” Taklub by Brillante Mendoza”applying Analysis Sheet in scrutinizing the movie.The study showed that the movie “Taklub” tackledsymbolisms in literature and social issues which central on faith, poverty and heroism. It was portrayed in themovie the positive attitude and disposition amid tragedy and grappling for hope. It was also described in themovie the theme of the different symbolisms which are radiated in the minds and hearts of an individual.Thesocial issues found in the movie mirrored the current situations which awakened the aspirations of the moviecasts. The movie instilled cognizance, faith, trust, and hope among viewers.The movie is helpful tool in teachingvalues education or on student resilience.
