ABSTRACT: The conclusion from the research results found that good social relations will affect the level ofmotivation of labor inspectors. Increased motivation will then have an impact on the performance of laborinspectors. which indicates that there is a direct influence between motivation and the performance of laborinspectors. This influence is positive in that the higher the motivation, the higher the performance of laborinspectors. The most influential indicator is social needs. Based on the data obtained from respondents, thesocial need that most influences motivation is the need for interaction and a harmonious relationship betweenorganizational actors.Motivation as an impetus will provide a purpose for doing something and provide direction for behavior. Soone’s success in growing and increasing one’s motivation will affect optimal productivity
