THE INFLUENCE OF PROFITABILITY, FIRM SIZE, AND INTEREST RATE OF STOCK PRICE ( The Case of Consumer Goods Industries)

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of profitability, company size, and interest rateson the stock prices of companies in the consumer goods industry sector on the Indonesia StockExchange (IDX ). The population in this study are all companies that are members of the consumer goodsindustry sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, amounting to 32 companies in the 2014-2018 period. Thenumber of samples used is 16 companies with a purposive sampling method. Data collection method used isnonparticipant observation. Data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the help ofSPSS application. Based on the results of the study indicate that return on equity , earnings per share andcompany size have a significant positive effect on stock prices, while interest rates have no effect on stockprices.
