THE ROLE OF JOB SATISFACTION MEDIATES THE EFFECT OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ON ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENTS

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to determine the role of job satisfaction mediating the effect ofemotional intelligence on organizational commitment. The study was conducted in the LPD of PecatuIndigenous Village. the population in this study were employees of the Village Credit Institution, amounting to49 people. The sampling technique used in this study was a saturated sampling technique with 49 respondentsas samples. Data collection methods in this study used interviews and questionnaires. The analysis techniqueused is path analysis. The results of the analysis show that emotional intelligence has a positive and significanteffect on organizational commitment, emotional intelligence has a positive and significant effect on jobsatisfaction, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment and jobsatisfaction is a mediating variable of the effect between emotional intelligence on organizational commitment.
